About Julie Colwick, D.D.S., M.S.

Julie Colwick, D.D.S., M.S., has been serving children, teens, and their families in the Cleburne area and surrounding communities since 2008. She grew up in a small rural North Texas town. She is a proud Red Raider and earned a bachelor’s of science in Zoology, with a minor in Chemistry from Texas Tech University.

She then attended The University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston and earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Immediately after dental school, Dr. Colwick worked in general dentistry with adults and children of all ages. It was during this time that she confirmed her true passion for working with children. Dr. Colwick applied and was accepted to The University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston Advanced Education Program in Pediatric Dentistry. She earned a post-doctoral certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and a Master’s of Science in Oral Biology. She is a board-certified pediatric dentist with Diplomate status from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Colwick also has extensive pediatric dental trauma training after having served for two years as an on-call pediatric dentist for the emergency department of Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital in Houston and more recently as an on-call pediatric dentist for the emergency department of Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth. She is certified in both Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

Dr. Colwick is involved in numerous dental organizations which promote the prevention, education, research and restoration of dental diseases. These include: the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists, American Dental Association, Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Texas Dental Association, Southwestern Society of Pediatric Dentists, and the Fort Worth Society of Pediatric Dentists.

Dr. Colwick and her husband, Steven, are the proud parents of their three daughters, Caris, Caroline, and Claire. They are active members of First Baptist Church, Glen Rose. She enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor activities, and being with friends.

Taylor Rotto, DDS, MSD

Dr. Taylor Rotto grew up in Mansfield, Texas. She attended the University of Oklahoma, where she earned both her undergraduate degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Taylor moved to St. Louis, Missouri to complete her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at Saint Louis University, where she also earned a Master of Science in Dentistry degree.

Dr. Taylor completed both university- and hospital-based residency training, allowing her to care for children in a wide range of clinical settings. While training at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in Saint Louis, she treated patients with a variety of dental and medical needs and worked alongside specialists in plastic surgery, ENT, cardiology, orthopedics, and speech pathology. She was also part of the craniofacial team, providing care for children with cleft lip and palate. In addition to her hospital training, Dr. Taylor worked in a multispecialty dental setting alongside orthodontists, endodontists, and periodontists, which reinforced the importance of a collaborative approach to patient care.

Dr. Taylor's interest in pediatric dentistry comes from her own childhood experience. She was an anxious dental patient as a child and required sedation for treatment. Over time, what once felt overwhelming became something she grew curious about, and eventually inspired her to pursue a career in pediatric dentistry. She understands how children can feel when coming to the dentist and takes the time to meet each patient at their comfort level.

During her time practicing in Oklahoma, Dr. Taylor grew to love the community, but knew she wanted to return to Texas to build her career and serve families closer to home. She is happy to be back in Texas and looks forward to caring for children and families at Colwick Pediatric Dentistry!

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Taylor enjoys spending time with her family, exploring new restaurants, traveling, staying active through Pilates and barre classes, and going on walks with her dogs, Bella and Nova.

Kaci has been in the dental field since 1997 with experience as a business assistant, financial coordinator, and Registered Dental Assistant. Her area of expertise includes pediatric dental care in a clinical and hospital setting. She and her husband, Jeff, have one son, Jace. They are members of First Baptist Church. Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends.

Jennifer Smith

Business Administrator

Jennifer has been in the dental field since 2012 with experience as a business assistant, financial coordinator, and insurance coordinator. She and her husband, Tristin, have two children, Haden and Jaycie. They are members of Cleburne Bible Church. Her hobbies include cooking, decorating, and spending time with her family.

Rachael Shields

Business Administrator 

Rachael has been in the dental field since 2022 with experience as a business assistant, financial coordinator, and insurance coordinator. She and her husband, Brent, have three children, Landry, Makenna and Maddox. They are on staff at Bethel Temple Church. Her hobbies include watching her kids play sports, Go Jackets!

Sylvia Roa

Business Administrator 

Sylvia has been in the dental field since 2023 with experience as a business assistant, financial coordinator, and insurance coordinator. She and her husband, Juan, have three children, Isaac, Javien, and Alayna. Her hobbies include watching her kids play sports, working out, and spending time with her family.

Katie Walker

Registered Dental Hygienist

Katie has been in the dental field since 2006 with experience in dental assisting and starting in 2008 experience in clinical hygiene. Her area of expertise includes pediatric care in a clinical setting. She and her husband, Michael, have two children, Addison and Cole. Her hobbies include traveling, camping, and spending time with her children and family.
